Augusta - A Flourishing Economy

We are so blessed in this area because Augusta has recently held up quite well compared to other areas nationwide. Augusta holds top honors in the housing market, workforce and business environments. Augusta is Georgia's second largest city with over half a million residents. Money Magazine has ranked Columbia County the 32nd best place to live in the United States and second best place to call home in the southeast. In March 2007, BizJournal.com rated Augusta number one in their listing of the 10 most affordable markets to own a home. Augusta recently added the Automatic Date Processing site on Belair Frontage Road. With the stong base of manufacturers, large employers, our local medical community consisting of eight major hospitals, and Fort Gordon it does not surprise me that Augusta has weathered the economic down turn well.

The interest rates are still low and home showings are a little less since school began this month. It has never been a better time to buy the right home for you. The new tax credit of $8,000 is available for homes purchased on or after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009. Please call me at 706.495.1135 or email me for more info.
